Turn around, and the back of the jacket settles any question about who’s on duty: FIRE FIGHTER, in big white letters. From the front, the evidence is just as good. Bright yellow stripes band the sleeves, cross the chest, circle the hem and wrap both pant legs, and a yellow Fire Dept. badge is stitched on the chest where a badge belongs.
Grey patches mark the knees, since a fair amount of rescue work happens down at carpet level. The red helmet in our photos is sold separately, as our Fire Chief Helmet with Siren and Lights, for crews who like to announce their arrival. The cat in the laundry basket has never been in better hands.
