These wings arrive already glowing. Every inch is shiny metallic gold, puffed up like a small quilt and stitched with long lines that sweep from the rounded top of each wing down to a curling, pointed tip. Shorter stitches branch off along the way like the barbs of a feather, so the closer you look, the more wing there is.
All that puff and crinkle means the gold never sits still. It flashes in a sunny window and turns deep and amber in the shade. Angel is the obvious role, though a phoenix, a firefly or the star at the top of the tree would wear them just as well.

Why we love it
Wings are about the fastest costume there is, and gold ones get along with nearly everything else in the dress-up bin.
Golden angel
A cream tulle dress scattered with tiny gold stars, puffy metallic gold wings on white straps, and a headband of three glitter stars over a fringe of iridescent tinsel. Pick the dress’s size and the other two come along, both one size. The gloves in the photos are styling. Wings on last, then straight to the nearest sunny window.
