The red only shows when the cape moves, which is exactly how a vampire would want it. Outside, this Dracula cape is black velour, deep and soft-looking. Inside, it’s lined in red satin that flashes at every sweep of an arm, and turns up again in the high collar standing behind the ears.
The front is where it gets dressed up. The closure is made to look like a black waistcoat, traced all over with gold cobwebs and finished with gold push buttons, so the cape arrives looking like a whole outfit. Your kid supplies the slow turn and the raised eyebrow.
