A turkey with a tail made of leaves is waiting for its colors. These Thanksgiving coloring mats are drawn in fine copper-colored lines, with autumn favorites tucked into every corner: acorns, spotted mushrooms, oak leaves, a squirrel, and a fox hugging a pumpkin.
One design spreads “HAPPY THANKSGIVING” across the middle in big outlined letters, ready to be filled in one at a time. Another gives the whole stage to that grand turkey, whose fanned tail feathers have room for every marker in the box. Your kid can go true to autumn with browns and oranges, or give the turkey purple feathers and see who notices.
Lay one at each seat and the table has its own fall gallery before the pie comes out.
Why we love it
The busy little details give a kid at the table something to fill while the grown-ups linger over dinner.
