This swan is fast asleep, and has no idea what’s about to happen. One small stitched eye rests in a contented curve on a soft white head, with a sparkly gold beak that tips out over your kid’s forehead and a black wedge where beak meets face. A matching gold strap runs under the chin.
Below, the cape does the feather work. Three sheer white tiers gather into a ruffle at the neck and stand out from the shoulders, each one sewn on with a fine line of gold thread, so lifting both arms turns the whole thing into wings. A slow glide across the living room, or a full flap down the hallway. The swan sleeps through either.
