Oversized oval sequins, hundreds of them, in pink, peach, mint, violet and pale blue, lie in overlapping rows like scales on a very glamorous fish. They sit on sheer mesh, so light comes through from behind and the colours keep changing depending on which way your kid turns.
It is more shimmer than weight, and it swings. Goes on over a leotard, a t‑shirt, the pyjamas that were already winning the argument, and the hallway turns into a reef for a while.
