CreaTV

Tonight’s programming is whatever your kid draws. CreaTV is a little wooden television your kid builds first and then fills with shows: pictures drawn on long paper rolls scroll across the screen, so one scene slides into the next like a story unfolding.

A red hedgehog peeks over the top of the screen between the antennas, and red-topped posts, printed speaker stripes and dials finish the retro look. Some rolls arrive with scenes ready to color, like a red car packed for a road trip or a sea turtle drifting past fish and bubbles. The long blank roll is where the original series begins, from the first episode to whatever plot twist the writer has in mind next.
